Suffolk Fire and Resce Service call-signs
Naming convention for Suffolk Fire and Rescue appliances / specials
Suffolk hasn't moved over to the National Call Sign Project so it's a good idea to explain the 'numbering' system used here in Suffolk.
The two letters indicate the station at which the vehicle is based e.g NT for Normanshurst, PT for Princes Street and BS for Beccles. This generally follows the pattern of using the first and last letter of the location.
These letters are then followed by two digits for firefighting appliances or a number and a letter for Specials.

- 06 - Emergency Rescue Tender - Normanshurst, Princes Street, Bury St.Edmunds
- 07 - Turntable Ladder - Headquarters and Bury St.Edmunds
- 08 - spare
- 09 - Water Bowser - Framlingham and Newmarket
- 0G - Forward Control Vehicle - Beccles, Woodbridge and Bury St.Edmunds
